I have been recently researching a bunch of random stuff about muscles. My latest research was about the names of the muscles and their locations around the body. I found my research pretty boring and dull but I’ve found out some useful facts.
Muscle names and where they are located:
Masseter: located on the cheek
Sterno mastoid: located on the side of the neck
Deltoid: on top of you’re shoulder
Biceps: located on the upper arm
Sartorius: extending from hip to knee diagonally
Peroneus Longus: located front of leg below the knee
Latissimus dorsi: located on armpit
Pectoralis major: located in the breast/nipple area
Rectus: above and below belly button (aka six pack)
External oblique: located on both sides of Rectus
Tensor fascia latae: right below hips on right side of knee
Rectus femoris: down the middle of leg above knee
Vastius femoris: above knee extending right (on right leg)
Vastius externus: above knee extending left (on right leg)
Extensor digitoriam profundus: located on you’re lower part of arm
Lalissiimus dorsi: on the back on both sides of spine
Gluteus maximus: located on both of you’re ass cheeks
Biceps femoris: back of the leg on the opposite side of rectus femoris
Gastrocneius: right below knee on back of leg (on left side of right leg)
Trapezius: back of the neck
Triceps: located on the back of upper arm
Palmaris longus: back of the lower part of arm
Tendo Achilles: the back of lower leg below calf muscle
